Update : Eighty hostages evacuated in Mali hotel attack
Around 80 of 170 hostages seized when gunmen went on a shooting rampage at a luxury hotel in Maliâs capital on Friday have been freed, local television reported.
âRadisson hotel attack: special forces launched an operation, first hostages released, about 80,â the state-run ORTM channel said on a scrolling banner, without specifying the source of the information.
âOur special forces have freed hostages and 30 others were able to escape on their own,â Security Minister Salif Traore told AFP.

New case of deadly virus emerges in west African country, which had been declared Ebola free in September
Ebola has surfaced in Liberia, which was declared free of the deadly virus in September, according to the World Health Organisation.
âThere is one confirmed case,â said WHO spokesman Tarik Jasarevic, without providing further details.
The west African country, where thousands died at the height of the epidemic last year, was first declared Ebola free in May, only to see the fever resurface six weeks later, and again in September.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, Liberiahas registered more than 10,600 cases and 4,808 deaths, the UN health agency said this week.

Gunmen suspected to be Jihadists have taken about 170 people hostage after they attacked Radisson Blu Hotel, a five-star hotel in Mali’s capital Bamako this morning. The armed men stormed the hotel and started a shooting rampage. “It is all happening on the seventh floor, jihadists are firing in the corridor,” an unnamed security official told AFP. “According to our information, 2 people are holding 140 clients and 30 employees.” they added
Automatic weapon fire could be heard from outside the 190-room hotel, where security forces set up a security cordon. “The Rezidor Hotel Group … is aware of the hostage-taking that is ongoing at the property today… As per our information two persons have locked in 140 guests and 30 employees,” the company said in a statement.

A west Houston man who is accused of prostituting a 4-year-old girl went before a judge Monday morning.
Andrew Turley, 28, was arrested Thursday, and charged with trafficking a child and prostitution of a minor.
Disturbing details were read aloud in court as prosecutors laid out what Turley is accused of doing.
Undercover officers with the Houston Police Department noticed an ad on Craigslist offering “daddy’s little girl” in exchange for money.
They made contact with the person promoting the ad and exchanged more than 60 emails up until Nov. 12.
Prosecutors say Turley allegedly offered two hours with the girl in exchange for $1,000, and a meeting was arranged.
When undercover officers arrived to the meeting location, they found the girl naked underneath a blanket. She was in a groggy state and appeared to be under the influence, according to police.
