The Kano State Film Censorship Board closes down 50 strip clubs
The Kano State Film Censorship Board has closed down over 50 solo dance houses and 100 games clubs for exposing underage girls to prostitution and encouraging truancy among pupils and students.
The agency said apart from enticing innocent girls to indulge in prostitution and other social vices, some of the girls were impregnated in the clubs.
The executive secretary of the board, Ismail Afakallah, noted that only last week before they effected the closure of the dance houses, there was a case of two teenage girls impregnated in one of the houses.
He said the government took “harsh position” to ensure that the state was free of vices that corrupt the morals of the society.
Commenting on the closure of the game centres, Mr. Afakallah said the addictive tendencies of the game clubs encourage theft and truancy among pupils and students.

Nicki Minaj’s ex boyfriend, Safaree, reportedly planning to sue her for song writing credits.
Nicki Minaj’s ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuelsreportedly plans to sue Minaj for not giving him credit for writing many of her songs on “The Pinkprint” and two other albums.
According to TMZ, Safaree claims he has a “boatload of proof” that he was heavily involved in Minaj’s work, including videos, voice memos and hours of footage from studio sessions.
Conjoined twins die in Bangladesh
The conjoined twin girls have died in Bangladesh less than a week after they were born, the hospital treating them said Monday.
Thousands of people had flocked to visit the twins, who were born with two heads and two hearts but just one body, after news spread of the “miracle newborn” last week.
They were taken into intensive care at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Bangladesh’s biggest public hospital, which set up a team of specialists to treat them.
But the head of the intensive care unit said they died late on Sunday after apparently suffering from heart failure.
“She was not in a stable condition since she was born. She died before we could intervene,” said Abid Hossian Molla.
“She was a rare conjoined twins with two heads. She had two hands and two legs like any normal baby, but inside she had two hearts, two sets of lungs and shared pelvic organs.”

Charlie Sheen has CONFIRMED he’s HIV positive in an honest sit-down interview after shocking reports speculating about the Hollywood star’s secret health battle.
The 50-year-old actor opened up for the first time about his diagnosis to Today’s Matt Lauer on US station NBC and said he was suffering “cluster headaches” and nights “sweating the bed” before he was diagnosed.
He said: “I’m here to admit that I am HIV positive. And I have to put a stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and untruths.
“I’ve told enough [people] that I trusted to be in the position and situation that I’m in today.”
Samson Siasia’s mother kidnapped in Bayelsa
News emerging this morning reveals that the mother of current head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 football team, Samson Siasia has been kidnapped. According to reports, gunmen stormed the family residence of the Siasia’s in the early hours of Tuesday morning at Odoni community of Sagama Local Council Area of Bayelsa State and forcefully whisked away Siasia’s mother on a motorcycle.
Bayelsa State Police Command spokesperson, ASP Ansinim Butswat, has confirmed the incident saying that the matter has been reported, but details were still sketchy.
Speaking to the media on the incident, a distraught Siasia has expressed his confusion at the occurrence of the event. Siasia said: “Right now I am confused, from the story I got, three men on motorbike stormed my parents’ house in my village Odoni in Bayelsa State, shot sporadically into the air before taking my old mother away on a bike.
“What do they expect from me? I don’t have money, I am right now on national duty, and need all the time to concentrate on this very important national task. So, I beg them to please release my mother so that I can concentrate on this task of qualifying the U-23 National Team for the men’s football event of the Rio Olympics.”
